"Band of Anamchara" celebrates the Sacrament of Matrimony. The cylindrical composition reflects the shape of the ring finger on which the wedding band is worn. It is a circle, which has no beginning and no end, a symbol eternal love. The yellow rose is a symbol of.friendship and is the basis of love. It is through love that marriage makes the two into one, symbolized by the single red rose. The interlacing vines are the complexity of the two individuals interwoven to make a strong family bond. Anamchara is an Irish word meaning a "soul mate", used by the early Christian Church in Ireland and Great Britain. New monks were appointed teacher to guide them as they learned the ways of the Church. It is used here to describe the relationship between the husband and wife. Band of Anamchara-The Sacrament of Matrimony", focuses on love, friendship and the union of two people who become one in Christ. With this sacrament, the two soul mates become one.
