"There is only one way to eternal life and that is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. Before we can do that, we need to acknowledge one simple fact; Jesus paid the price for your sins on a cross 2,000 years ago so that you wouldn’t have to pay for those sins through eternal separation from God. While it may have been Roman soldiers that physically nailed Christ to the cross, it is actually our sins that put Him there.
That is why in Salvation, a modern day man is depicted at the foot of the cross holding the hammer. The only Man to ever walk the earth free of sin bore the sins of the world so that we can come to the Father and have a personal relationship with Him.
