SUMMARY:January Art Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Sacred Art Gallery Welcomes\nKevin Pawlowski & Cole Dieterle\nEpiphany Art Walk | January 10\nJoin us as The Sacred Art Gallery celebrates the Feast of the Epiphany with a special January Art Walk on Saturday\, January 10\, from 2:00–5:00 p.m. We joyfully welcome Kevin Pawlowski and Cole Dieterle\, two of our out-of-town featured artists\, whose journeys bring them to our gallery bearing gifts of beauty\, craftsmanship\, and faith. \nEpiphany recalls the coming of the Magi—travelers from distant lands who followed the light and arrived bearing offerings for Christ. As the Gospel of Matthew proclaims: \n\n“And going into the house\, they saw the child with Mary his mother\, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then\, opening their treasures\, they offered him gifts\, gold and frankincense and myrrh.”—Matthew 2:11 \n\nIn this same spirit\, Kevin and Cole come from afar\, offering the fruits of their creative vocations—works shaped by prayer\, patience\, and devotion. \n\nFeatured Artists\nKevin Pawlowski\nBased in Woodstock\, Georgia\, Kevin Pawlowski brings a thoughtful and eclectic approach to Christian art\, working across multiple media and styles. His work reflects a balance of discipline and devotion\, drawing from both traditional techniques and contemporary expression. \nBy day\, Kevin serves as a marketing communications manager for an industrial chemical company. Outside of work\, he can be found meticulously snipping glass tiles for mosaics in his basement studio or painting antique etchings at his dining room table. Though he has been painting and drawing for over 30 years\, Kevin experienced a renewed calling toward religious and spiritual subjects beginning in 2012—a turning point that continues to shape his artistic life. \nHis works invite contemplation\, revealing sacred meaning through careful craft and material beauty. \n\nCole Dieterle\nCloser to God\, one letter at a time. \nCole Dieterle’s journey into sacred art began in 2016 with a simple love for fountain pens—an interest that soon unfolded into a vocation rooted in calligraphy and illuminated text. As his skill grew\, so did his sense that each carefully formed letter could become an act of prayer. \nInspired by Medieval and Renaissance illumination\, Cole creates manuscript-style renderings of familiar prayers and sacred quotations—texts often spoken from memory\, yet rediscovered through the slow\, intentional act of writing. In giving attention to each word\, Cole found himself drawn closer to God\, one letter at a time. \nAfter years of developing this work alongside a teaching career\, Cole took a leap of faith. Since Summer 2022\, sacred calligraphy has been his full-time vocation—supporting his family while sharing reverence\, beauty\, and devotion with others. \n\nWhat to Expect\nNew Sacred Works on DisplayExperience original pieces across multiple media—mosaic\, painting\, and illuminated calligraphy—each offered as a gift in the spirit of Epiphany. \nLocal Artists & VendorsBrowse work from several local artists and vendors whose creativity enriches our gallery gatherings. \nEpiphany Scavenger HuntTake part in a fun\, family-friendly scavenger hunt throughout the gallery—an engaging way to explore the art while celebrating the season of discovery and journey. \nSacred Art RaffleEnter for a chance to win a surprise sacred art piece—one lucky guest will take home a special work from the event. \nWarm HospitalityEnjoy hot drinks and treats as you stroll the gallery and share in conversation and community. \n\nJoin us as we celebrate Epiphany—welcoming artists from afar and the gifts they bring\, just as the Magi once did. \nAdmission is free. All are welcome.

SUMMARY:September Art Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Sacred Art Gallery Presents: Iconographer Brenda Fox Live at our September Art Walk\nStep into sacred tradition during The Sacred Art Gallery’s September Art Walk on Friday\, September 12\, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.\, as iconographer Brenda Fox offers a live demonstration of the ancient art of icon writing—a meditative practice where prayer and pigment become one. \nA Catholic convert and seasoned teacher of the sacred arts\, Fox has studied under esteemed iconographers across the world\, including Fr. Damian Higgins\, Ksenia Pokrovsky\, and The Prosopone School of Iconology. Drawing on more than two decades of experience in both art therapy and spiritual formation\, she invites viewers into the slow\, intentional process of iconography—where each line is a prayer\, and every image a window into heaven. \nAs the iconographic tradition teaches\, “Icons are not just painted—they are written. They become for us a window into eternity.”\nWhat to expect\nLive Iconography Demonstration – Witness Brenda create a sacred image in real time as she reveals the theological symbolism\, color choices\, and layered technique behind traditional icon writing. \nArt Booths – Browse original works from local artists and vendors\, and meet the makers whose works enrich the gallery’s mission of beauty through faith. Each table you buy from earns a ticket for the raffle! \nItalian Sodas and Intentional Foods – Enjoy custom-crafted Italian sodas from the Blue Star Caboose and take 10% off a nourishing meal at IF before or after your gallery visit. \nSacred Art Raffle – Enter ($10 for 1 or $20 for 3) to win a hand-framed giclée print of Christ Pantocrator\, an old master classic\, to inspire prayer in your home or prayer space. \nWhether you’re drawn to the discipline of sacred art or simply curious about the beauty behind this timeless practice\, join us for a night of reverence\, reflection\, and creative grace. Come see how iconography continues to shape hearts and illuminate faith in the modern world. \nAdmission is free. All are welcome.

SUMMARY:Summer Art Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Sacred Art Gallery Showcases Live Painting by Cara Moran at our Summer Art Walk \nExperience art in motion during The Sacred Art Gallery’s Summer Art Walk on Friday\, July 18\, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. as contemporary impressionist Cara Moran turns the gallery into her studio for an evening of color\, texture\, and joy. \nMoran—daughter of renowned Western painter Charles H. Pabst and a graduate in Art History from Arizona State University—is celebrated for her bold palette‑knife technique and instinctive use of impasto. Layers of luminous paint build highly textured\, three‑dimensional surfaces where “bright and joyful colors dance across the canvas\,” inviting viewers into a world that is at once tactile and transcendent. Drawing inspiration from nature’s fleeting sweetness—flowers\, clouds\, and the shifting desert light—she orchestrates light and dark to spark awe\, balance\, and harmony. \n“Good art feeds our transcendent needs\,” Moran says. “It is an orchestration of light and dark that capitalizes emotions\, especially joy.” \nWhat to expect \nLive Painting Demonstration – Watch Cara create a brand‑new piece in real time\, offering insight into her instinctual flair and the discipline behind each expressive stroke. \nArt Booths – Interact with several local vendors including various artists as their works are on display. \nItalian Sodas and Intentional Foods – Try some summer‑perfect refreshments at the Blue Star Caboose with hand‑crafted Italian sodas while you mingle and before or after the art walk grab some fresh flavorful dishes at IF for 10% off. \nArt Raffle – Enter ($10 for 1 $20 for 3) for a chance to take home a canvas framed print of Charles Pabst’ The Good Shepherd and keep the inspiration flowing long after the night ends. \nWhether you’re a seasoned collector or simply seeking an uplifting night out\, join us in the heart of the East Valley to celebrate faith\, fellowship\, and fine art. Let Cara Moran’s vibrant canvases—and the creative act itself—remind us that we are made for more than the everyday. \nAdmission is free. All are welcome.
