Little Flower Art Contest

Little Flower Art Contest

When Charles Pabst first seriously considered starting the Sacred Art Gallery, he described it as a desire to, “do something beautiful for God.” This mentality has been a part of his passion as an artist and gallery owner of the years and has carried into the past 10 years of the Sacred Art Gallery. Within this desire, Charles also has wanted some way to invite young artists to consider their talents and what God may in store for them. This hope has developed into what is now known as the Little Flower Art Contest.

The Little Flower, or Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, is one of the Gallery’s patron saints, and was an artist herself in her youth. Her “little way” was described as a simple yet powerful way of making saints, by doing little acts of love for God.

The Contest, now in it’s third year, has grown to include more and more schools and participating students, with the vision of including any student living in the Diocese of Phoenix with a desire to paint something beautiful, and put their skills to the test. The contest will commence again each August with the Theme and updated requirements posted. Please refer here and our the gallery events and social posts for updates.
