They are created in Bulgaria, one of the few countries in the world that has helped to sustain the icon traditions during the centuries, by some of their most experienced iconographers. With more than 20 years of experience in modern iconography by these artists, each icon they produce is absolutely unique!

\r\nMost of these icons are painted on solid natural wood boards (0.8 inch thick). The rest of the materials used are strongly individual and depend on the techniques used by every iconographer. In most cases they use egg tempera, oil or powder paints, varak gold leaf (foil), varnish. Following the Byzantine Art traditions, every icon is layered with a linen cloth, glued and hand sanded to a smooth finish.

\r\nCommissions can be done if there is a particular size or saint you would like.
