This October, join us for a three-day Iconography Retreat with Brenda Fox in honor of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Participants will prayerfully create an 8″ x 10″ icon of St. Francis, guided step by step through the traditional techniques of iconography.

The Retreat will be led by Iconographer Brenda Fox, who has been writing icons since 2003 under the continual direction of Rev. Peter Pearson. Her formation also includes studies with Fr. Damian Higgins, Russian Master Iconographer Ksenia Pokrovsky, The Iconographic Institute in Mt. Angel, OR, and The Prosopone School of Iconology.

A convert to the Catholic faith in 2000, Brenda brings a deep love for the Church’s artistic tradition into her teaching. She holds a Master of Science in Art Therapy, a Certificate in Theology and Pastoral Ministry, and professional credentials as both a Board Certified Art Therapist and Board Certified Life Coach. With more than 20 years of expertise, Brenda uniquely combines her background in art, therapy, and spirituality to make iconography a transformative experience for her students.
